3 DAY UGANDA GORILLA SAFARI

You will be picked up by our guide from the airport/your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala after an early morning breakfast at 07:00am. You will be briefed about the whole safari before you travel to Bwindi Impenetrable which is found in the southwestern part of Uganda. Along the way there is a local drum and craft making community so you will have a visit here. Then a stopover at the Equator to take photos, also feel free to buy some crafts and souvenirs as you head to Mbarara town where you will have your lunch from. Thereafter, proceed to Bwindi whereby you will arrive in the late afternoon. Check in at the lodge, relax in the evening and have Dinner.

Meal plan; full board

On this day, be early to raise and have your breakfast early enough and pack your lunch, after which you will be taken to the park headquarters by your driver guide. You will have a briefing from the Park rangers at 8:00am concerning the rules in the park, what to do and not to do when you meet up with the gorillas. Tracking Gorillas takes between 2 and 8 hours. Thereafter, you will start off with tracking ensure you carried enough drinking water, strong shoes, a jacket and a walking stick, you must make sure your strong enough for this tough walk . When you meet up the gorillas, you will be given one (1) hour with them watching the playful juveniles, the silverbacks and also other gentle giants feed the young ones. You will be allowed to take as much photos as you want with your camera flash off. Later head back to your lodge and rest.
In the evening prepare and walk through the Batwa community, this will give you chance to interact with these people, learn how they live and also watch them perform their traditional dances and songs. Return back at the lodge, have dinner and Overnight.

Have an early breakfast, Check-out leaving the “Switzerland of Uganda” behind and start your journey back to Kampala passing through rolling hills with terraces and also you will have a great time viewing the lush vegetation of the different areas you will go through. Have lunch in Mbarara and another stop will be at Mpambire drum makers point. After buying some of these drums, continue to Kampala arriving late afternoon. The guide will drop you off to the hotel or at the airport to catch your flight back home.
