5 DAYS BWINDI, LAKE BUNYONYI AND LAKE MBURO

Pick up by your guide from Kampala after your breakfast and immediately set off to the Southwestern part of Uganda-Bwindi Forest. It will be a great journey with a lot of sightings such as the rolling terraced hills, together with a few stopovers at the equator to take photos and another in Mbarara to have lunch as you proceed to Bwindi. You will arrive in the evening and rest at the hotel with dinner.

Have breakfast at 6:30 am and transfer to the park headquarters with packed lunch where you will be briefed by the professional Park rangers. By 8:00 am you will be accompanied by the park rangers as you enter the mist forest to trek mountain gorillas. You might need a walking stick if you are not physically fit enough also considering using potters to carry your luggage just in case you have and you pay them a small amount of money for labor. Trekking may take between 2 and 8 hours and the moment you see and start interacting with the gorillas only one hour is given to you.
After trekking, return to the lodge to unwind and later in the evening take a walk in various communities such as in Batwa community where you will interact with them and learn a lot from them before you retire at the lodge.

Take your breakfast having amazing views from surrounding hills, forests and the beautiful rays of the morning sun. After head out for a canoe ride on the lake which harbors 29 islands and almost every island with a history such as the Punishment Island – enjoy the stories from the guides on this boat ride.
Return to the lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon, take a walk, or hike up the hills to enjoy more spectacular views of forests and lakes, or watch birds, or read a book while relaxing by the lake shores, or swim in the lake which is Bilharzia free and safe for swimming.

After breakfast, carry on with the journey to Lake Mburo national Park, where by your eyes will be caught up by the large numbers of impalas (mainly concentrated in this park), zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, among others. Along the way your eyes will be fed again with the stunning landscapes of the Kigezi highlands. You will have lunch enroute, when you arrive at the park you will have a game drive through the park as you will have a chance to see most animals. Later have dinner and Overnight.

Enjoy breakfast; go on a boat cruise along the lake where you will see more wildlife like hippos, Crocodiles, buffaloes as well as many bird species and you will also see other smaller lakes like Bwa and Kazuma. In the afternoon drive back to Kampala after an amazing time in the wild.
