THE ULTIMATE GORILLA EXPERIENCE

This is a huge rain forest national park that is habitat to more than half of the total mountain gorillas population in the whole world therefore, it is Uganda`s leading and also main Gorilla safari area. An in-depth look into their appealing beautiful brown large eyes of these giant peaceful shy creatures is undoubtedly the most fascinating unforgettable Uganda wildlife Safari encounter which Uganda and Africa as a whole have to offer together with Bwindi’s extensive biodiversity which as well supports the Eco-Tourism industry. At an altitude between 1,160m and 2,607m, this national park features ninety (90) species of mammals, among which are eleven (11) primates and the black and white Colobus being the most prominent due to its characteristic beautiful curving white tail hence similarly making the Bwindi a thriving Uganda wildlife safari spot.

Activities

GORILLA TREKKING

This Gorilla tracking activity begins at 8:30 in the morning and may last the entire day.you are allowed to spend only one hour with the Gorillas on meeting them. Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi is tiresome and as a result tourists are advised to be in good physical shape and bring jungle boots as well as rain jackets with them since the forest is constantly wet
But after bush-bashing your way through the scrub, you’ll come across a gorilla family, peacefully playing in a forest clearing. Your trekking guides and rangers will have prepared you for what to expect. There’s no direct interaction with the gorillas (unless one moves past you), but you may get pretty close. You’ll have a good 45 minutes to an hour to just sit and observe these animals in their natural habitat. We promise it’s something you’ll never ever forget.
PLEASE NOTE: All gorilla trekking permits are officially sold only at the head offices of Uganda Wildlife Authority in Kampala and just 8 gorilla permits each day being sold for every one of the Two Gorilla groups. Prior booking of a minimum of 3 months earlier is advised to prevent losing out. (Pease contact us early for your booking in time).

GORILLA HABITUATION EXPERIENCE IN RUSHAGA- MORE TIME WITH GORILLAS:

It is only in Uganda that you can be with a Mountain Gorilla Family for 4 hours on a Gorilla Habituation Experience along with researchers in Bwindi’s Impenetrable Forest – this is amazing experience – to be with a Mountain Gorilla Family as it is being habituated. This is one of a kind experience in Africa.
There are presently two family groups being habituated, meaning that they have come used to human contact and will not run away from visitors trekking them. (Pease note that permits are given on a first come basis. Therefore, Advance booking is essential).

HIKING AND NATURE WALKING THROUGH THE PAR

The Hike through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a one day long hike from the north of Bwindi to the South – called Nkuringo. This is the most popular hike along two trails of Bwindi. We make sure that hiking through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is always with a guide, and we expect you to see birds, variety of butterflies, and all natural blend of orchids, tree ferns plus epithetic ferns, and colorful characteristic of Bwindi impenetrable forest.
